  • Basic Description
    • Direct administration of radio nuclides and the retrieval of data for the purpose of providing diagnostic or therapeutic services. Works under the supervision of a Nuclear Technologist I or II.

    • Degree / Education
      • Associate Degree Nuclear Technology
    • Level of Experience
    • Lic./Cert./Reg.
      • All licensure must be current/valid and from the state of West Virginia.
      • Basic Life Support - Must be certified within 30 days of hire.
      • AND
      • Nuclear Med Tech, Cert
      • OR
      • Am Reg Of Rad Tech Nuc Med
      • AND
      • Radiologic Technologist, Licen
      • Medical Imaging License
    • Typing/Word Processing skills required for this position

      • Must demonstrate competency through an initial orientation and ongoing competency validation to independently perform tasks and additional duties as specified in the job description and the unit/department specific competency checklist.
    • Minimum Requirement Comments
      • Complete required routine imaging procedures and annual competencies. Complete annual inservice / education requirements. Fulfills "on-call" assignments. No disciplines written or above on file within last 12 months. Participation in PI/QA activities.
      • Rotates other facilities and shifts as required. Participates in student clinical training completing competencies, and evaluations. Participates in new employee training. Preferred preceptor for new employees completing all required documents. Must have a performance review rating of above the "meets standards / contributor" level.
