Summary

  • Basic Description
    • Monitors patients’ EKG waveforms, rhythms, and vital signs at the central monitor station. The monitor technician provides the nurses and physicians with precise analysis of cardiac rhythms through oral communication and written documentation. The monitor technician detects abnormal pattern variances and notifies the primary nurse immediately.

    • Degree / Education
      • High School Diploma/GED
    • Level of Experience
      • 1 year of previous EKG experience
    • Lic./Cert./Reg.
      • All licensure must be current/valid and from the state of West Virginia.
      • Basic Life Support - Must be certified within 30 days of hire.
      • EKG Certification - Must be certified within 3 months of hire
    • Typing/Word Processing skills required for this position
    • Computer Skills required for this position
