      • Must demonstrate competency through an initial orientation and ongoing competency validation to independently perform tasks and additional duties as specified in the job description and the unit/department specific competency checklist.
    • Minimum Requirement Comments
      • Graduate from an accredited Radiology program including 2 or 4 years of formalized training.
      • No disciplines written or above on file within last 12 months.
      • Rotates to both angio labs and works shifts as required.
      • Participates in student clinical training completing competencies, and evaluations.
      • Participates in new employee training.
      • Preferred preceptor for new employees completing all required documents.
      • Assists with development and implementation of competency base orientation program required annual education.
      • Independently identifies and resolves problems and assists others.
      • Functions as role model and group leader.
      • Performs temporary Lead Technologist duties.
      • Participation in QI/PI activities and Clinical Research Trials.
      • Serves on committees and/or participates in development and implementation of projects and programs as assigned.
      • Assists in meeting and developing departmental policies and radiation safety/regulatory guidelines.
      • Must have a performance review rating of above the "meets standards / contributor" level.
      • Obtains and/or maintains Registry in Vascular Interventional Technology (RVIT)
      • Performs required imaging procedures and as surgical/scrub technologist.
      • Completes annual competencies which includes age populations of child, adolescent, adult and geriatric. Must complete competency based unit orientation packet if transfer from another dept.
      • Completes annual in-services.
