Summary

  • Basic Description
    • Supervise, coordinate and participate in activities of the lab and/or lab employees of an assigned unit, ensuring that the collection and preparation of specimens as well as the filing and reporting of lab results are carried out in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Specialized Knowledge, Experience and Skills
    (Education, Experience and Skills required to fully perform the requirements of the position)
    • Degree / Education
      • Associate Degree - Medical Lab Technology
      • OR
      • Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology or Chemical, Physical, or Biological Science
    • Level of Experience
      • 4 years technical experience, one of which must have been in each discipline within the applicable designated area
    • Lic./Cert./Reg.
      • All licensure must be current/valid and from the state of West Virginia.
      • Clinical Lab Practitioner
      • Medical Tech or Medical Lab Tech, Certified - ASCP/AAB/AMT
    • Typing/Word Processing skills required for this position
      • Microsoft Office - to include Outlook, Word, and Excel
    • Computer Skills required for this position
      • Basic PC Skills
