  • Basic Description
    • Journeyman electrician.  Accountable for the performance of required building and maintenance trades at the journeyman level to ensure safe and efficient operation of the Medical Center's facilities. Creates positive relationships, situations, and an atmosphere that promotes effective, efficient, economic, and high quality outcomes.

      • 4-6 years maintenance experience based on the need of the department

Electrical license current and available.  Keeps current by reading and understanding code changes.  Read, interpret and apply information contained in service manuals and National Electrical Code (NEC). Demonstrates the ability to read and understand electrical drawings.Understands and can layout the electrical requirements for scope of work per National Electrical Code (NEC), etc. Demonstrates the ability to follow the scope of work in installing and troubleshooting electrical components and systems.  Has basic understanding of the electrical distribution system from the utility provider throughout the entire distribution system of CAMC facilities. Can apply this knowledge to installation and troubleshooting. Helps manage project budget, labor, and materials including ensuring correct materials are used to complete work.
