  • Basic Description
    • Operate the Charleston MEDBASE Communications Center, handling requests for medical command for region 3/4, and dispatch and medical command of Health Net Aeromedical, and CAMC General Division Inpatient Transporters and all requests for arranging dispatch/transport of all patients into and out of CAMC.
  • Specialized Knowledge, Experience and Skills

    • Degree / Education
      • High School Diploma/GED
    • Level of Experience
      • 3 YEARS recent paramedic field experience
      • OR
      • 3 YEARS recent communication center experience
      • OR
      • 3 YEARS recent field experience or 3 years recent communication center experience or a combination of both
      • OR
      • 5 - 7 YEARS Medical Command
    • Lic./Cert./Reg.
      • All licensure must be current/valid and from the state of West Virginia.
      • EMT- Paramedic-State
    • Typing/Word Processing skills required for this position
    • Computer Skills required for this position

      • Must develop familiarity with the scope and content of local EMS programs and should develop familiarity with the duties, responsibilities, and capabilities of regional pre-hospital providers. Must have excellent communication and speech skills.
